Honestly, a year ago, I didn't believe in or care about anything related to body chakras. However, my coach started teaching me about them, and I became obsessed. Now I've already taken 3 courses on the subject, and I wanted to share some tips for opening/unblocking the heart chakra (one of the ones I found most difficult). Also known as Anahata, the heart chakra is green or pink (because it combines masculine and feminine energy) and its element is "air." It is related to balance, love (for others and yourself), giving, receiving, and equilibrium. If your heart chakra is blocked, you are likely to feel distrust of other people, sadness, heartbreak, and/or lack of empathy. It is necessary to balance this chakra to feel better and make progress in all areas of your life. Use the following tips:
Write the following in your journal every morning for 1 month:
- 3 ways in which you are open to receiving
- 3 ways in which you will share love that day
- 5 ways you want to be treated/loved and how you will treat yourself that way that day
- 10 things you love about yourself
Repeat these mantras
- I love myself unconditionally
- I give and receive love freely
- I deserve all the good that comes to me
- I am ready to receive miracles
Breathing
Practice this Nadi Sodhana Pranayama breathing to balance your brain, energy, and body.
Visualization
How would you look and feel if you had all the love and support you want? Write down every detail and internalize it as you write it.
