Sometimes it seems like "living healthy" means impossible routines, strict diets, or spending hours at the gym. But what happens when you have a job, a family, and a thousand things to do? The good news is that you don't need to do it perfectly to feel good.
In this new episode of the INALA Club Podcast, we chat with Fer Padilla —mom, entrepreneur, and movement lover— about how to create a realistic wellness lifestyle, one that adapts to your life and not the other way around.

1. Wellness begins with movement (and you don't need hours)
One of the biggest myths is that to be fit you have to train intensely every day. Fer reminds us that 20 minutes do count. Dancing, walking, doing yoga at home, or taking the stairs are options that add up and make a difference.
Practical tip: start by trying different activities until you find one you truly enjoy. If you do it out of obligation, it won't last.
2. Small changes at home that improve your health
Wellness is not just exercise: it's also about what happens in your kitchen and your environment. Fer recommends focusing on simple things like:
-
Choosing fresh foods most of the time.
-
Checking the water we drink and how we filter it.
-
Using better quality pots and pans to reduce toxins.
It's not about changing everything overnight, but about making improvements little by little.
3. Balance is not black or white
Many times we feel guilty if we eat "something we shouldn't" or if we skip a day of training. But the reality is that what you do most days is what counts.
In Fer's words: "Balance is not in the extremes, but in that space in the middle where you can enjoy, take care of yourself, and also be flexible."
4. Wellness and motherhood: teaching by example
For moms, well-being can feel like an impossible luxury. Fer shares how she integrated her children into her healthy lifestyle: they see her moving, eating healthy, and also enjoying with flexibility.
Key insight: children imitate what they see. If you prioritize self-care, they learn to do it naturally.
5. Couple wellness: reconnecting through movement
Well-being can also be a space to strengthen relationships. Fer and her husband found a way to reconnect in the mountains: running together became their couple's ritual.
What about you? Maybe it's not trail running, but look for a physical activity you can share. It could be walking, yoga, dancing, or even a gym class. The important thing is to create moments of connection that also nourish the body.
6. A first step you can take today
After so much inspiration, the question is: where to start? Fer has it clear:
-
Write three things you are grateful for today.
-
Move for at least 20 minutes with an activity you enjoy.
-
Choose a simple change at home, whether in your diet, rest, or environment.
Wellness is not about changing everything at once, but about slowly building a life that makes you feel good.
